You are welcome to bring your own boat... $10/day boat/trailer/docking fee will be charged. Discount available for longer stays. Trailers are parked in a designated area. 

Canoes and kayaks are exempt of any charge.

We will be glad to help planning your day and point out local must see attractions as well the local events & restaurants.

 

Centrally located, we are 7 miles from the tri-town area...Beaver Bay, Silver Bay, & Finland.

                                                          about 1/2 hour from Two Harbors and 1 hour from Duluth, Ely, and Grand Marais.

FISHING
 
Lax Lake sits on 295 acres and borders Tettegouche State Park. The lake hosts Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappie, Large Mouth Bass, and Sunnies for your fishing pleasure.  Great shore line fishing for the kids... try our "Big Rock".  For bigger adventures, charter fishing is available on the Big Lake (Lake Superior) in Silver Bay.  If streams are more your flow, try trout fishing on the Baptism and Beaver River as well as other little local streams.

SWIMMING
Take a dip in the clean clear waters of Lax Lake in our weedless beach. The beach is roped off with a raft, aka "The Lemondrop".
 
***Please note that the beach is unsupervised
                              and has NO life guard.  
    Children should not be left unattended.  No Diving.
